Frameless construction means the motor mounts straight into the customer housing, so there is no extra coupling and no housing resonance. The 12 slot outer rotor layout distributes the magnetic pull evenly around the ring, which is what keeps cogging torque and the resulting ticking noise low at slow gimbal speeds. With no brushes and no brush dust, the drive stays clean and quiet for the full 20,000 hour rating.
